Our Character Most of what separates us from other producers is hard to detect, so your trust in us is essential. We encourage you to research our character.

No steroids in our cattle. A majority of people do not realize the extent of steroid use in the cattle industry. Calves are typically implanted, with the anabolic steroid Ralgro, in the back of their ear when they are 200 lbs and then again at 600 lbs. Then several more times while at the feed lot. Google Ralgro.

No animal by products fed to our cattle. Many people do not recognize the extent of animal by products that are fed to cattle. A high percentage of cattlemen feed protein tubs, but do not realize that the number one ingredient of many, is chicken feathers or chicken by products. In The higher protein tubs the source of protein comes from urea, made from urine. The next time you are at a farm supply store ask to see and read the label of a 200-250 lb cattle protein tub.

No antibiotics in our cattle. A common practice is to feed calves, from the time of weaning through their time in the feed lot, antibiotics as a prevention from sickness. We utilize an extensive vaccination process to alleviate the need for antibiotics.

Top genetics in our cow herd. Our breeding stock is selected and managed for feed efficiency and carcass quality, even the bulls we use, whether for Artificial insemination or pastured, are DNA tested for these traits. Our customers can count on the very best beef possible!

Ordering

1. You are welcome to place orders anytime, but a $100 deposit/ per quarter of beef ordered, must be received by your order deadline.

2. Approximately 15 days before your delivery date you will have the option to decide how you want your meat cut by thickness and types.

How much meat can I expect

Each beef yields about 400 to 480 lbs of wrapped meat, 1/4 beef = 100 tor 125 lbs.

An example of how 490 pounds of boneless, trimmed beef could break out:

    • 185 pounds lean trim, or ground beef

    • 85 pounds round roasts and steaks

    • 90 pounds chuck roasts and steaks

    • 80 pounds rib and loin steaks

    • 50 pounds other cuts (brisket, flank, short ribs, skirt steak)

I have had my order for about a month now and have only been able to try the rib eye steaks and some of the ground beef. The steaks were about half an inch thick but were by far better than anything that I have ever bought in a store. The ground beef was very good as well, though have not made hamburgers or something that would really allow the beef to shine yet, it was very good in the spaghetti and stir fry that we used it for. Planning on reordering when we are getting close to being out of this order. Purchased a half beef.

I found the order process to be pretty straight forward, loved that I could use paypal to pay for it as I have not used checks in years and never have that much cash on hand. When I first did my order the processing form was not the correct one, checked it today and it has been updated so that is good. I have recommended you guys to probably a dozen people so far, not sure if any have ordered. I know one of them talked to Megan for a bit after I introduced them.
